The National Aviation University of Ukraine (NAU) is one of the most powerful aviation-related higher education institutions in the world, with approximately 25,000 students, including nearly 1,500 foreigners from 55 countries. University President Volodymyr Isaienko is a candidate for technical sciences, a doctorate in biology, professor, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, and an honorary educator of Ukraine.
In its 85-year history, more than 200,000 highly skilled professionals have been trained in this higher aviation education institution. Among them are famous scientists, airline leaders, companies, organizations and institutions, who provide aircraft flight, maintenance and repair, passenger and cargo transportation.
NAU's main competitive advantage in the Ukrainian and global education market is its aviation sector. The school trains future pilots, drone operators, ground crews for aviation equipment and aircraft engines, air traffic controllers and engineers, airborne equipment and avionics experts, radio electronics experts, modern airport designers, airport, aviation and logistics experts, network security and system diagnosis experts, environmentalists, economists, lawyers, psychologists, physicians and other experts. Thanks to NAU's international cooperation with world-class universities, students can participate in internships and obtain double diplomas.
NAU includes five academies, ten departments, a military training and research institute, six technical colleges, two technical secondary schools and the flight academy in Kropyvnytskyi. The university has one of the largest aviation training hangars in Europe. There is a training field and an aviation ground engineering training field based on the subsonic wind tunnel TAD-2, and education and science aerodynamic fields at the university. The campus has 11 dormitories, a canteen that can accommodate 1,000 people, a health center equipped with modern diagnostic and medical equipment, a disease prevention department, a 1,500-seat cultural and artistic center and a sports center. The NAU Science Library has more than 2.6 million books.
The development of the scientific production drone center "Virazh" has been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions around the world. The center has developed seven types of drone systems: from ultralight aircraft to aircraft with payloads up to 70 kg. NAU’s partners include leading Ukrainian aviation companies: National Aeronautics Administration, National Space Administration, Antonov State Enterprise, Boryspil International Airport, Kyiv International Airport, Odessa International Airport, UIA Airlines, and civil aviation factories.
The NAU diploma has always been and remains a sign of quality and professional excellence, and is considered competitive in many countries.
